Connolly Architects is a multi-disciplinary practice with a national reputation for excellence in animal shelter design. Our firm’s reputation is built on a keen understanding of animal control and humane issues, application of progressive ideas about shelter design, and a commitment to improving conditions for shelter staff and the animals in their care.
Connolly’s national practice includes more than 50 projects in 19 states. Each of these projects represents an evolving progression in designing animal care facilities. Our expertise in material selection, facilities programming, and shelter design has allowed us to help our clients improve their standard of care, increase adoption rates, reduce euthanasia rates, and create shelters that are a friendly, welcoming part of the community fabric.
Connolly is a business member of the National Animal Control Association and the US Green Building Council. The firm also provides professional support to the Texas Federation of Humane Societies, the Humane Society of the United States, and the ASPCA. Connolly’s work on the SPCA of Bexar County was recognized with a Business Week/Architectural Record Award.
