Elliot H. Johnson, AIA specializes in residential design in Austin and the Hill Country and has been a leader in green building and a member of the COA Green Building Program since 1992.

We focus on tailoring each design to our client’s lifestyle, rather than confining ourselves to a particular style. Over ninenteen years of residential experience equips us with expert knowledge of construction techniques, budgeting, sustainable building principles, and local building codes. We are experts on the City of Austin’s “Mcmansion ordinance.”

In 2008 we were privileged to be featured in Natural Home Magazine and a book Dreaming Green: Eco-Fabulous Homes Designed to Inspire. We won two Max Awards, sponsored by the Home Builders Association of Greater Austin, including the Best Green Home. The Hanson Residence was featured on the 2009 Cool House Tour.The Swanson Residence was selected to be on the 2009 AIA Homes Tour.

Images Of… has completed the design of eleven five-star rated houses, and has worked with strawbale, rammed earth, ICF’s, cob, cast earth, and conventionally framed structures.

We are focused on the pursuit of zero-energy homes through passive solar techniques, tight envelopes, geothermal, solar hot water, renewable energy (wind + solar)
