Snowmobile

For residents of Yellowstone, snowmobiling and watching wildlife are not mere hobbies. If they wanted to get groceries or go to the dentist or eat a restaurant meal, they had to snowmobile thirty miles over Sylvan Pass to the East Gate or fifty miles to the north. For five months of the year, snowmobiles carried the milk, eggs, hamburger, and any guests brave enough to visit.
