Join an international contingent of urban innovators as we transform bright ideas into collective impact.  AIA Austin partners with the City of Austin and frog design to host a day-long TEDxCity 2.0 event.

September 20, 2013 at Austin City Hall features an unexpected mix of more than 20 speakers around the globe.  We fold layers of live broadcast from TED in NYC into live-in-person presentations at City Hall.  We then redirect this inspirational infusion into break-out sessions where you are invited to wrestle with actual civic problems facing our community.

Other areas where our AIA members are transforming our built environment and our regulatory system:

1.  LDC rewrite- Take AIA’s survey, join the community meetings, or contact Advisory Group member Stephen Oliver, AIA.
2. Affordable Housing Bond- AIA Design Voice committee invites you to learn the facts about the affordable housing campaign.
3. Stealth Dorms-  Bart Whatley (link to Liaisons) and Ernesto Craignolino meet with an interdepartmental working group every 4th Thursday. 
4. Advocacy Roundtables-  September 23 at noon- Stuart Sampley facilitates our residential gathering this month.  We celebrate the regular input of a broad spectrum of our members.
