Ricardo Angel Muñoz Romero

Ricardo Angel Muñoz Romero is a licensed architect and educator based in Dallas. Born in San Jose, Costa Rica, he came to the United States as a young child with his parents Marta (born in Costa Rica and Raul (born in Mexico). As a child and up until graduating from graduate school Ricardo visited Costa Rica and Mexico every year and formed experiences and values that inform his approach to design. He has traveled extensively and lived in Barcelona, Paris and Rome throughout his studies. These experiences abroad helped shape Ricardo’s worldview and understanding of how design impacts different climates, cultures and populations. He believes design holds the potential to change lives not only through the built environment but through the effect it can have on societal issues such as racism, climate change and mental/physical health. Ricardo is a lead designer at Page Southerland Page, Inc. and teaches at the University of Texas at Arlington. Ricardo holds a B.S. in Architecture from UT Arlington and a Master in Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
