Connecting through Community Building

Join us for this month's Allied Member Roundtable to discuss the professional benefits of mentorship and charitable work. Our guest architects will relate their experiences and share ways for you to get connected through AIA Austin opportunities.

PRESENTERS
Brad Deal and Robert Brooks teach the Design Build Studios at Louisiana Tech University which provide Medcamps of Louisiana, a non-profit organization that offers free summer camp to children with chronic illnesses and disabilities, with spaces for gathering, learning, and adventure. They have also created two AIA National award-winning films and will demonstrate how short films are a great way to tell your team's story and inspire others.

Please take a moment to watch these three-minute films before the webinar:
2016 AIA I Look Up Film Challenge – “Arch 335: Rebuilding Medcamps”
2017 AIA Film Challenge – “Pisces”

We will close with a brief Q&A with the presenters, as well as information from AIA Austin architect members and staff about opportunities for local involvement.

This event will take place online via Zoom. A free Zoom account is required.

The AIA Austin Allied Member Roundtable exists to recognize, educate and develop, and further the relationships with its members as they seek to support the vision of AIA Austin. We host roundtable discussions every other month where we can come together to share our experiences and perspectives.
