Drag Queen Story Hour with Cholula Lemon

Hosted by AIA Austin’s LGBTQIA+ Alliance and Architecture:K-12 Committee

Join us for an imaginative and exciting storytime presented by Drag Queen Story Hour featuring Cholula Lemon in collaboration with AIA Austin’s LGBTQIA+ Alliance and Architecture: K-12 Committee! Enjoy songs, stories and a creative design activity for kids ages 3 and up.

• Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH) is just what it sounds like—drag queens reading stories to children in libraries, schools and virtually. Drag Queen Story Hour captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity in childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive and unabashedly queer role models. We will read two children’s books about inclusivity and architecture, including one about famous architect Zaha Hadid!
• If you would like to participate in the architecture craft activity to make your own curving building or color a coloring page during the event, you can find a list of supplies (easily found at home) and activity pages to print here.
