Dennis Chiessa
Dennis Chiessa is Assistant Professor of Architecture at The University of Texas at Arlington where he teaches design studios focused on social and spatial equity. His work examines the impact of design and architecture on underrepresented, underserved and underinvested communities. Dennis’ design work and research has been exhibited in LiA exhibits across Texas, the Fort Worth Community Arts Center, The Amarillo Museum of Art and the forthcoming Venice Architecture Biennale. Dennis’ design work received First Place in the Tandy Hills Pavilion Design Competition, Studio Award from AIA-Fort Worth, and several Honor Awards in the Enlaces juried exhibition in Dallas. Dennis received the 2018 Young Professional Award and the 2019 President’s Award from AIA Fort Worth where he serves as Chair of Latinos in Architecture.
